Private Nurses are Registered Nurses (RNs) who assess and support clients so they can remain living in their own homes. Private Nurses help people with disabilities, chronic illness, or cognitive impairment to assist in keeping clients socially and physically active, healthy, and improve the quality of their lives.
At Luxe Care, every one of our clients has their own Care Manager, or Private Nurse. Our Care Managers are Registered Nurses and they provide private nursing care and oversee their clients care. Luxe Care Private Nurses are matched with clients that will benefit from the varied skills and experience they offer.
Our Private Nurses assess and evaluate clients and provide services as outlined in an agreed Care Plan. All clients have Care Plans that detail the services they need, along with their personal preferences and interests. Working collaboratively with our clients, they update and implement each Care Plan as appropriate.
Our Private Nurses work with each clients’ family to support the overall well-being and happiness of their clients. They coordinate care with GPs and other health care providers. In many cases they work with a multidisciplinary team of Carers to ensure clients receive the highest level of care and services they need to continue living safely and comfortably in their homes.
Luxe Care supports strong relationships between Private Nurses and their clients and their clients’ loved ones. Depending on the needs and capacities of each client, Private Nurses may recommend adding other Carers to the team. At the direction of the Private Nurse, the team works together to assess their clients’ ongoing health and well-being. He or she will update Care Plans to reflect changes in services and oversee the implementation of personal care as appropriate.
Qualifications of Luxe Care Private Nurses:
- Current licensed Registered Nurse AHPRA
- Excellent clinical skills and Strong communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated competence in adherence to all pertinent Commonwealth and state regulations
- Sensitivity to the special needs of older people
- Demonstrated computer literacy
- Drivers License
